ALINDA : Dramatically situated on a steep hill, an impressively preserved but ill - known site with remains from the Hellenistic and Roman periods; noteworthy -the masterly stonework of the city walls and terraces, the amazingly intact market building with its agora, and the theater with thirty-five rows of seats.

LABRAYNDA : Difficult of access but worthy of the adventure; constructed on dramatic terraces cut into the precipitous slopes of a mountain, this purely sacred complex expanded for centuries yielding a unique amalgam of religious structures largely from Greco - Roman and Byzantine times (L).

NOTE : The lush pine forests with their majestic views, fragrant air and splendid isolation simply demand a great picnic!
