The port of Bodrum, ancient Halicarnassus, is a year-round resort located at the juncture of the Aegean and Mediterranean seas. A center of sailing, Bodrum is the site of the extraordinarily well - preserved Castle of Saint Peter, built in the fifteenth century by the Knights of Rhodes and which now houses a renowned museum devoted to underwater archaeology. Since Director Tours is located permanently in Bodrum, we are well positioned to organize a famous "Blue Voyage". These trips take place on comfortable, locally built wooden yachts of several designs. The most popular type of boat for the "Blue Voyage" is the gullet, a version of a traditional Italian type known as the "varkalas" in Greece and related to the Arab "baggala". The gullet is an exceptionally stable boat, used for trading in the Aegean throughout centuries, with a clipper bow and a wide counter over the stern. During our "Blue Voyage", vibrantly fresh and flavorful meals are savored on the wide deck around a large table under an awning. Our wooden yachts are yours to charter for as long as you like. The concept of the "Blue Voyage" is attributable to one of Turkey's most beloved literary figures - Cevat Şakir Kabaağaçlı. Cevat Şakir, known as the "Fisherman of Halicarnassus", was exiled to Bodrum in 1962 because of his political beliefs. He became enamored with his surroundings and, ever intellectually curious, began to investigate Bodrum's cultural history. He rented a sponge diver's boat called the "Yatağan" and set out on an adventure to rediscover the Aegean coasts immortalized in Homer. Thus the "Blue Voyage" was born. While in exile, Cevat Şakir Kabaağaçlı invested greatly in the development of Bodrum, joined by many others who were generally from the artistic community. The intellectual vitality of those times resonates still today, stimulated by the artists, writers and scholars who for decades have come to Bodrum to experience Cevat Şakir's "Blue Voyage".

Single Supplement is %60 of the prices given above for each period.
For Mini Cruise (3 nights-4 days), full weekly price at the 5th period and 70 percent of
the weekly full price for the other periods will be applied.

THE PRICES INCLUDE:
The prices are per person per week in double bedded cabins on full board basis.
Full Board includes the daily service of the breakfast, lunch, 5 o'clock tea and cake service
and the dinner.
Yacht's fuel, ships water, expenses of crew, port charges and taxes and the use of the sports
equipment on board is also included in the above given prices.

THE PRICES DO NOT INCLUDE:
The alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages on board.
Airport transfers on arrival and departure.
Entrance fees to the historical sites and land excursions,

P.S Special itineraries as well as prices are available for long duration higher volume operations. Incentive programs and promotion tours can be arranged upon request.

The above prices inctude daily yacht rent, port expenses and taxes, daily use of fuel for maximum 4 hours per day, transitlog, yacht's insurance and yachts laundry. Meal is Euro - 25 per person day.

Standart equipment : VHF, GPS, autopilot, depth sounder, log, electric anchor winch, bimini or sun awning, inflatable dinghy, gangway, electric refrigerator, life raft, lifejackets & lines, sea charts, pilot(s), navigational equipment and complete kitchen equipment.

Rental period : Saturdays from 04:00 P.M. until Friday 06:00 P.M. including overnight until Saturday 10:00 A.M.

Extras : Flotilla EUR.-130per week. Outboard EUR-- 65 per week. Skipper EUR.- 95 per day + food. Marina EUR,- 13 per person per day

Insurance : All boats are fully insured.

Airports : Bodrum airport 30 minutes to the harbor. Dalaman and Izmir airports 3 hours to the harbor. Please note that the rates do not include airport transfers, if transfer is required we will arrange it as an extra.

 

• The meals are not included in the prices. However, the food can be arranged by us
  at a cast of 18 EUR.- per person per day upon request
• The alchofic and non alcoholic beverages are not included in the prices. These
  beverages will be available at Yacht's Bar a minimum charges.
• Airport transfers on arrival and departure are not included to our rates.
